Dr. Ney is a double-trained orthodontist. He obtained his Dental and first Orthodontics certificate at San Marcos University in Lima, Peru. After moving to the US, he attended the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Masters and Orthodontics Residency Program, where he received an additional three years of orthodontic training. While at UCLA, Dr. Ney served as the chief resident and received numerous accolades and awards both for his skills as a clinician and leader, his clinical research and for his ability to think critically.
Dr. Ney is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontists and also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the State University of New York at Buffalo where he trains residents in orthodontics. Dr. Ney is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and has multiple publications related to skeletal expansion, airway/obstructive sleep apnea and digital orthodontics.
Dr. Ney’s field of expertise includes the effective utilization of orthodontic Temporary Anchorage Device (TAD) to minimize surgery and maximize esthetic successful outcomes. His expertise in complex orthodontic treatments involves the full scope of non-surgical and surgical orthodontics including airway management, growth modification, conventional palatal expansion, adult maxillary skeletal expansion, and gummy smile treatment.
